2012 Magnetic Polar Reversal - How Possible Is It?
A 2012 magnetic polar reversal is possible--this is according to National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Believers of the 2012 Doomsday also said this is possible, only that they have conflicting idea with NASA.
For NASA, the 2012 magnetic polar reversal will be of the Sun's and not of the Earth's as proposed by the doomsdayers.
2012 Magnetic Polar Reversal of the Sun
The last total magnetic polar reversal of the Sun happened in 2001. This regularly happens every 11 years, so that means the next solar magnetic reversal will be in 2012.
When magnetic polar reversal happens, the Sun's magnetic fields in the north will point to the south while the south magnetic fields will point to the north. There will be no physical flipping that is obvious with the naked eye--only the magnetic fields will reverse.
Earth's Magnetic Polar Reversal
This same thing happens when the Earth experiences total magnetic polar reversal. The only difference is that the Earth has this without any regularity. It can be as fast as every 5,000 years or as slow as every 5 million years.
The average interval of Earth's magnetic polar reversal is every about 300,000 years. The last recorded total magnetic reversal in Earth happened 780,000 years ago. Some say we are already overdue for the next polar reversal that is why 2012 magnetic polar reversal is also possible for the Earth. But no one can really tell if we are overdue or not. Maybe they're correct or not--only one thing is sure, we might have a total polar reversal soon.
But contrary to popular belief, NASA said that our polar reversal is unlike the Sun's. Earth's polar reversal is always slow, taking about 1,000 to 5,000 years to complete.
However, the next 2012 magnetic polar reversal of the Sun might make the fast magnetic polar reversal of the Earth possible.
The Big Problem with the Next Solar Polar Reversal
There will be 2012 magnetic polar reversal of the Sun. Scientists say that it's normal but there is something not normal with what will happen in 2012.
Recently, NASA discovered two holes in the Earth's magnetosphere. This magnetosphere protects the Earth from any charged particles from the outer space. These charged particles, when many of them passed through our atmosphere, will affect our daily living. Their effects range from faulty computers to exposing us more to radiation-induced cancers.
When the 2012 magnetic polar reversal of the Sun happened, our star will emit solar wind, which is composed of charged particles. And since the thing that protects us against it has holes, it's possible that some charged particles will enter the Earth. Yes, there are already some charged particles but they are not so many to give us harm. The 2012 magnetic polar reversal of the Sun will possibly allow entering of more charged particles that are already harmful for humans.
Worse, the more radiation we will experience in 2012 might trigger the 2012 magnetic polar reversal of the Earth. At least, all these are only theories but what if these theories happen in 2012? It's better safe than sorry. Reading more materials like 2012 Contact will be of big help. This is a package composed of 2012 Contact - The Build, 2012 Contact - Survival, and free lifetime updates.
