Dec 21 2012 Polar Shift According to the Mayans


Historians regard the Mayan calendar as extremely accurate. They have predicted some historical events by date and the rise of some states by name. How the Mayans did this does not matter once you are startled with how serious the Mayans are when it comes to timekeeping. And now that the Mayan calendar is ending, does it also mean that the world will end? Could it be that the Dec 21 2012 polar shift is predicted by the Mayans?

The Mayans did not actually said that there will be a polar shifting on December 21, 2012. What they said is that it will be the "end of time." How come?

For the Mayans, one cycle of a civilization is composed of one galactic day. That is 25,625 years when translated to our modern calendar. One galactic day is divided in five cycles. Each of these cycles is composed of 5,125 years. Every cycle, a different struggle of humans happened. And for the Mayans, ours is the last cycle of one galactic day. And the end of this cycle will be on December 21, 2012. Amazingly, even the time is predicted, it will be on 11:11AM. Beyond that, what will happen to the Earth?

We can think positively and consider this as a simple completion of one great cycle. A great change will happen that will affect all of us. But is everyone safe during this great change and the "end of time?"

Beyond the Mayans

The possible Dec 21 2012 polar shift can be both destructive or not depending on what polar shifting you are referring to.

For NASA, Dec 21 2012 polar shift is possible for the Sun. The Sun has a regular abrupt polar shifting that happens every 11 years. The last was in 2001 and the next is due in 2012.
